Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Olathe North

Olathe North had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Asia Lee did her part to make it seven on Monday. The Olathe North Eagles came out on top against the Washburn Rural Blues by a score of 63-52 thanks in part to Lee, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 24 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Olathe North's points.

Rhema Stemmons was another key player, putting up seven points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Olathe North now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Washburn Rural, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3-1.

Olathe North has already played their next contest, a 54-40 victory against Webster Groves on the 23rd. As for Washburn Rural, they will venture away from home to square off against Lawrence Free State on January 30th. Washburn Rural is facing Lawrence Free State at the right time seeing as Lawrence Free State is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
