Preview: Collinsville Cardinals vs. Skiatook Bulldogs
Collinsville is 9-1 against Skiatook since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The pair will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Collinsville is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Skiatook in Oklahoma (Collinsville is ranked 65th, while Skiatook is ranked 269th).
Collinsville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 64-54 to Booker T. Washington.
Meanwhile, Skiatook was able to grind out a solid win over Locust Grove on Saturday, taking the game 59-49.
Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Skiatook, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Everything came up roses for Collinsville against Skiatook when the teams last played back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 76-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Collinsville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
