Volleyball Recap: Pine Hill Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pine Hill waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Tse' Yi' Gai Dine Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Pine Hill never let Tse' Yi' Gai on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-16.

Arianna Gordo paced Pine Hill's offense, picking up ten kills. Gordo got some help from Chenille Martinez and her 15 assists. Martinez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Takoa Sarver, each putting up four.

Pine Hill now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Tse' Yi' Gai, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pine Hill will face off against rival To'hajiilee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tse' Yi' Gai is set to challenge their familiar foe Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
