Soccer Game Preview: Tonopah Valley vs. Yuma Catholic

The Tonopah Valley Phoenix are taking a road trip to square off against the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tonopah Valley is looking for their season's first victory.

Tonopah Valley fell victim to Highland Prep and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Honey Badgers.

Meanwhile, Yuma Catholic also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Calexico on Monday, falling 5-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Shamrocks came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 79th in Arizona, while the Bulldogs are ranked 210th in California).

Yuma Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
