Recap: Wayne Pioneers vs. Chapmanville Regional Tigers
Friday just wasn't the day for Wayne's offense. They suffered a tough 9-0 defeat at the hands of the Chapmanville Regional Tigers on Friday. Wayne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wayne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Eastwood, who went 1-for-2 with a double.
Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Wayne will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Raceland at 2:00 p.m. Raceland is coming into the matchup with three straight wins at home, so Wayne will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Chapmanville Regional will take on Scott at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
