Volleyball Recap: Sterling Black Bears vs. Skyline Thunderbirds

Sterling lost against Skyline on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sterling Black Bears fell just short of the Skyline Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Sterling sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-21.

Skyline was led to victory by Grace Hoffman and Ashley Spease. Hoffman had 11 digs, while Spease had 12 kills, seven digs, and a block.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13-3. As for Skyline, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sterling is on the road again on Tuesday to play Marion at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Sterling has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Skyline, they will square off against Stafford on Tuesday.
