Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Knights vs. Holly Hill Academy Raiders

The Faith Christian Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the Holly Hill Academy Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Faith Christian is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Charleston Collegiate just ended the team's five-game winning streak last Thursday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sundevils. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-35, which was the final score in Holly Hill Academy's tilt against Savannah Country Day on Friday. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Faith Christian will have to contain Jody Gillam as he made an impact in Holly Hill Academy's last game. He posted 17 points. Gillam's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Connor, who had five points.

Faith Christian's record now sits at 5-3. As for Holly Hill Academy, their record now sits at 2-2.

Faith Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Holly Hill Academy in their previous meeting back in February, winning 56-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Faith Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
