Soccer Preview: Reed Meets Hug

The Reed Raiders will face off against the Hug Hawks at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Reed and 27 for Hug dating back to last season.

Reed fell victim to McQueen and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Lancers. This is the first time Reed have not scored a goal since all the way back on September 1st.

Meanwhile, Hug also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Reno on Saturday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Hug can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada soccer rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Reno are ranked 12th).

Reed has now lost six of their last eight games at home. That's part of the reason why they have a 3-7-2 record this season. As for Hug, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
