Volleyball Recap: Portage Starts Season with Victory Against Hobart

Portage took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hobart Brickies. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Portage walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-22, 17-25, 25-22, 25-11.

Emma Mcwilliams paced Portage's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mcwilliams got some help from Ella Klakoski and her 22 assists.

Hobart's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Portage and Hobart will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. The Indians will head out to face the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Brickies will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
