Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Falls Despite Big Games from Braxton Ward and Henry Hulse

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mountain View can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Payson Lions on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss two weeks ago.

Despite the defeat, Mountain View had strong showings from Henry Hulse, who had 14 digs, and Braxton Ward, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Parker Houston was a one-man wrecking crew For Payson. as he had 19 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Houston has posted since back in April of 2024.

Mountain View has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Payson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-9.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Stansbury on the 7th. As for Payson, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Crimson Cliffs on the 7th.
