Football Game Preview: Westfall Mustangs vs. Adena Warriors

The Westfall Mustangs will square off against the Adena Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Westfall nor Adena posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Things were looking good for Westfall after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 20-7 to Zane Trace. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Adena's offense. They took a blow against Unioto on Friday, falling 45-0. That makes it the first time this season the Warriors have let down their home crowd.

Westfall's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Adena, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.

Westfall was able to grind out a solid victory over Adena in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 42-34. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
