John F. Kennedy extended the longest winning streak in North Coast - White this week by beating St. Peter Chanel, 30-12. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Cleveland Central Catholic led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Villa Angela-St. Joseph.
Trinity's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Pat Sobolewski threw for 95 and one touchdown and Darin Snyder had 23 yards receiving. On the ground Antonio Capasso chipped in 55 yards. Matt Iacobucci helped Trinity's passing attack out by catching two balls for 22 yards.
Trinity's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sobolewski has thrown for 575 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Snyder has 19 catches for 286 yards. Iacobucci leads the league in rushing with 374 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Ironmen take on John F. Kennedy. Cleveland Central Catholic has allowed 213 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 192.
Holy Name made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,243 from 6,493. The advance stemmed from a 41-6 victory over the Trojans last week.
