Basketball Game Preview: Lee Generals vs. John Battle Trojans

Lee and John Battle are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Lee Generals will challenge the John Battle Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee will be strutting in after a victory while John Battle will be coming in after a defeat.

Lee will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Gate City, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Lee came out on top against Gate City by a score of 60-49 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Generals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, John Battle ended up a good deal behind Abingdon on Friday and lost 55-36. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

John Battle has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points per game. As for Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Lee came up short against John Battle in their previous matchup back in January, falling 66-57. Can Lee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
