Basketball Game Preview: Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees vs. Sinton Pirates

The Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees will head out on the road to square off against the Sinton Pirates at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Tuloso-Midway has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Tuloso-Midway is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Banquete 60-35 on December 3rd.

Meanwhile, Sinton entered their tilt with King on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Brahmas with a sharp 36-16 victory. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 558th, while the Brahmas are ranked 1361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sinton pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game. As for Tuloso-Midway, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8.

Tuloso-Midway came up short against Sinton in their previous meeting back in December of 2020, falling 39-35. Can Tuloso-Midway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
