Softball Recap: Redmond Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Redmond rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Juanita Ravens a 4-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Ainsley Barcalow made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Maggie Enich and Lily Viola did most of the damage at the plate: Enich went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Viola went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI Viola has posted since back in March.

Redmond's win bumped their record up to 18-4-1. As for Juanita, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Coming up, Redmond will face off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. Juanita does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
