Volleyball Recap: Tupelo Takes a Loss

If Tupelo was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of New Hope on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Wave lost 3-0 to the Oxford Chargers on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Wave in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost six in a row.

While Tupelo was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Tupelo now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Oxford, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Tupelo will square off against Starkville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oxford, they are taking a road trip to challenge Brandon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
