Baseball Game Preview: Troy Warriors vs. Brea Olinda Wildcats

The Troy Warriors will square off against the Brea Olinda Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Troy 2.7, Brea Olinda 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Troy needed a bit of extra time to put away Sonora. They skirted past the Raiders 4-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Brea Olinda's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Canyon by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 22nd.

Nick Davis and Hudson Sims stepped up to the plate in a big way. Davis went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Sims got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Connor Perez was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Troy's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Brea Olinda, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
