Volleyball Recap: Ella Tate Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Beaumont School

There's no place like home for Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Beaumont School Blue Streaks on Tuesday. The Royals haven't had any issues with the Blue Streaks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 17-25, 25-19.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Tate, who had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Tate has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Leah Tichnell, who had four digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 6-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy's record now sits at 8-13. As for Beaumont School, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Coming up, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will welcome Boardman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beaumont School, they will venture away from home to face off against Elyria Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
