Volleyball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Prairie Ridge

With a playoff game on the line, Prairie Ridge rose to the challenge on Thursday. They beat the Crystal Lake South Gators by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in October.

Prairie Ridge easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21.

Maizy Agnello paced Prairie Ridge's offense, picking up 16 kills. Agnello got some help from Grace Jansen and her 14 assists. Jansen also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allison Rodgers, racking up two apiece.

The win (which was Prairie Ridge's sixth in a row) raised their record to 26-13. As for Crystal Lake South, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-24 record.

Prairie Ridge is on the road again on Monday to play St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. St. Francis will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Prairie Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. Crystal Lake South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
