Recap: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Longview Lobos
The Whitehouse Wildcats lost against the Longview Lobos back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Whitehouse took a serious blow against Longview, falling 78-31. Whitehouse was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.
Chris Wilder was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Longview. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for him. Robert Blandburg was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Whitehouse's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-13. As for Longview, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.
Whitehouse will be playing in front of their home fans against Tyler at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Tyler is ranked 784th, while Whitehouse is ranked 781st). As for Longview, they will head out on the road to face off against Texas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
