Beaver proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Water Canyon Wildcats 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Beavers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Beaver's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Water Canyon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Beaver didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. Joseph on the 17th. As for Water Canyon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Altamont on the 17th.
