Soccer Game Preview: Burlington-Edison vs. Lynden Christian

The Burlington-Edison Tigers will head out to challenge the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Burlington-Edison duked it out with Oak Harbor on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. It was the first time this season that Burlington-Edison let down their fans at home.

Meanwhile, Lynden Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Lynden on Tuesday and fell 4-3. Lynden Christian haven't had much luck with Lynden recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-5-4. As for Lynden Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-2.

Burlington-Edison came out on top in a nail-biter against Lynden Christian in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
