Basketball Recap: New Life Christian Academy Comes Up Short

New Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 34-23 to Parkersburg Christian. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Parkersburg Christian this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-22 back in December of 2024.

Parkersburg Christian found their leader in freshman Kenzi Lucas, who posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Lucas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shianne Posey, who earned nine points and four steals.

New Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Parkersburg Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-12.

New Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Parkersburg Christian, they will face off against Morgantown Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
