Volleyball Game Preview: Yutan Chieftains vs. Mead Raiders

The Yutan Chieftains will venture away from home to face off against the Mead Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Yutan is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 9th on Thursday. They came up short against Bergan Catholic, falling 3-0. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Yutan ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Mead earned a 2-0 victory over Lawrence-Nelson on Saturday.

Yutan's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Mead, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Yutan took their victory against Mead in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
