Volleyball Recap: Coleman Cougars vs. Niagara Badgers

If Coleman was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Saint Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars fell just short of the Niagara Badgers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Badgers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Coleman sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-13, 22-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-11.

Makenna Slaski paced Coleman's offense, picking up ten kills. Slaski got some help from Ella VanErmen and her 19 assists. Alayna Gilbertson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Coleman's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Niagara, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8.
