Baseball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

If Edgewood was riding high fresh off their 10-3 takedown of Conneaut on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 10-3.

Chris Ende made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Devon Sanchez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Edgewood now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Conneaut, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Edgewood has already played their next contest, a 9-5 loss against Grand Valley on the 18th. As for Conneaut, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-4 defeat against Pymatuning Valley on the 18th.
