Basketball Recap: Dunnellon's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Dunnellon came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over the Belleview Rattlers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-16 back in December of 2024.

Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Albanis Mogollon, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Mogollon has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cami Satterfield, who posted 14 points and six boards.

Dunnellon's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Belleview, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3.
