Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Indians vs. College Park Cavaliers

Cleveland is 0-4 against College Park since December of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Cleveland Indians will venture away from home to challenge the College Park Cavaliers at 12:30 p.m.

Cleveland is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 49th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They took a 46-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1376th, while the Panthers are ranked 624th).

Meanwhile, College Park entered their tilt with Tomball Memorial on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 37-30 win over the Wildcats.

College Park's win came from a few key players Cleveland will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sachi Lee, who posted eight points. Gretchen Wright was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

College Park pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-22.

Cleveland was taken down by College Park 78-43 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of College Park's Katie Westwood, who went 11 of 17 from beyond the arc on her way to 33 points along with five boards and three steals.
