Volleyball Recap: Plattsburg Finds Home Court Redemption Against West Platte

There's no place like home for Plattsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the West Platte Bluejays on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bluejays: they've now won three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Izzy Parra, who had 15 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Plattsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive matches.

Despite the defeat, West Platte saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nora Meyerkorth had 11 digs and one assist.

Plattsburg's win bumped their record up to 19-7-2. As for West Platte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-15-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Plattsburg will challenge East Buchanan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Platte, they will take on Penney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
