Basketball Recap: Gladstone Takes a Loss

Gladstone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Scappoose Indians, falling 68-42. The Gladiators lost against the Indians in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 44-40 score last time.

Gladstone's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Scappoose, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gladstone will take on Pendleton in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Scappoose and Banks will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Scappoose's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
