Basketball Preview: Fox Chapel Foxes vs. Woodland Hills Wolverines

Fox Chapel and the Wolverines are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Fox Chapel Foxes will head out on the road to face off against the Woodland Hills Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, everything went Fox Chapel's way against the River Hawks as the Foxes made off with a 61-36 win. That looming 61-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fox Chapel yet this season.

Jefferson Moorefield-Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Betancourt Jones, who scored eight points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Woodland Hills didn't have too much trouble with the Mustangs at home on Friday as they won 63-47.

The win makes it two in a row for Fox Chapel and bumps their season record up to 11-9. As for Woodland Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Fox Chapel didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Wolverines when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fox Chapel since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
