Softball Recap: Desert Heights Prep Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Desert Heights Prep entered their tilt with San Pasqual Valley on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 20-3 win. That's two games straight that the Coyotes have won by exactly 17 runs.

Nicole Bryan looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Chanel Gonzalez was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Kloi Von Tobel, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.

Desert Heights Prep now has a winning record of 6-5. As for San Pasqual Valley, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Desert Heights Prep beat the Warriors by a score of 19-5 later that day.
