Volleyball Recap: Belpre Golden Eagles vs. Waterford Wildcats
Belpre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Waterford Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-17.
Waterford can attribute much of their success to Jassandra Lang, who had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Lang has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Maya Wilson, who had 13 digs.
Belpre's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Waterford, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.
Belpre is on the road again on Tuesday to play Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. As for Waterford, they will play host again on Tuesday to welcome Portsmouth West, where the match is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
