Baseball Recap: HCYA Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only HCYA walked away with it. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Charlotte S Stampede on Thursday. Ten seems to be a good number for HCYA as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Tyde Tracy, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. He has become a key player for HCYA: the team is 12-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 14-15 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Caleb Woodcock, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: HCYA kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

HCYA is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-16 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Charlotte S, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

As of now, neither HCYA nor Charlotte S have any future games scheduled.
