Softball Recap: North Warren Regional Takes a Loss

If North Warren Regional was riding high fresh off their 15-2 takedown of Wallkill Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots came up short against the Hackettstown Tigers on Wednesday, falling 13-5. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 14-3.

Hannah Allen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

North Warren Regional's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5. As for Hackettstown, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Warren Regional will take on Newton at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Hackettstown, they will head out to face off against Voorhees at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
