Soccer Recap: Atkins Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Atkins was riding high fresh off their 7-2 takedown of North Davidson last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Camels lost 5-2 to the Mount Tabor Spartans on Monday. While losing is never fun, Atkins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Mount Tabor are ranked 50th).

William Roehrenbeck and John Shaw scored both of Atkins' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Atkins' defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6. As for Mount Tabor, they pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
