Soccer Recap: KIPP San Jose Collegiate Comes Up Short

KIPP San Jose Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of The Nueva School Mavericks. The Wolfpack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mavericks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate's goal came courtesy of Yizhi Fang, who's now up to two this season.

KIPP San Jose Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for The Nueva School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

While KIPP San Jose Collegiate had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
