Football Recap: Los Altos Sets Scoring Season-High Against Burroughs

Los Altos extended their losing streak to eight on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They came up short against the Burroughs Bears, falling 44-20. On the bright side, the 20- point performance marked the Conquerors' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Burroughs, their record now sits at 5-8. Considering their offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Burroughs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karisma Mendez, who threw for 215 yards and five TDs on only 19 passes. Those five passing touchdowns gave Mendez a new career-high. Alyssa Prachasaisoradej also deserves a shout-out for her two touchdowns.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Altos will challenge Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Burroughs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacred Heart of Jesus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears will be up against the Comets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
