Basketball Recap: Northgate Comes Up Short

Northgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Langston Hughes Panthers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 78-48 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northgate's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Langston Hughes, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Northgate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-48 victory against Whitewater on the 14th. As for Langston Hughes, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Stranahan at 2:30 p.m. on December 26th.
