Football Recap: Russell Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 38 points the game before, Russell was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were dealt a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Gallatin Raptors. The Rustlers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raptors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Caleb Taylor threw for 86 yards on nine of 23 attempts. Drew Etcheberry was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, Donavin Scribner rushed for 35 yards.

Gallatin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Dahlke, who picked up 143 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown. Dahlke showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 57 yards. Samuel Litzen was another key player, having thrown for 295 yards and three touchdowns.

Russell's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Gallatin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
