Preview: Eau Gallie Commodores vs. Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds
Two dominant guards in Alayna Lherisse and Olivia Titherington are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Eau Gallie Commodores will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds on February 9th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Eau Gallie rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 53-41 victory over the Bears.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lincoln Park Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by Westwood on the road to the tune of 62-17. Winning may never get old, but Lincoln Park Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Lincoln Park Academy found their leader in underclassman Alexa Titherington, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Titherington hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Titherington was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Eau Gallie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Lincoln Park Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 25-2.
