Basketball Game Preview: South Bend Adams Eagles vs. Penn Kingsmen

South Bend Adams is 0-10 against Penn since November of 2014 but things could change on Thursday. The South Bend Adams Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Penn Kingsmen at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, South Bend Adams lost to South Bend St. Joseph on the road by a 55-39 margin. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Penn's strategy against Concord on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Penn blew Concord out of the water with a 54-25 final score. The Kingsmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Penn is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.3 points. As for South Bend Adams, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5.

South Bend Adams ended up a good deal behind Penn in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, losing 46-27. Can South Bend Adams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
