Flag Football Recap: Westover Drops Highest Score of Season Against Baker County

Westover's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Baker County Bears by a score of 19-12. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Westover found their leader in sophomore Ivyona Jones, who rushed for 82 yards and one TD.

Westover's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Baker County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Westover will face off against rival Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Patriots 14.9, the Golden Tornadoes 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Baker County is set to take on their familiar foe Mitchell County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
