After a string of four wins, Chino Hills's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Colony Titans by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Huskies couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chino Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt McCliman, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits McCliman has posted since back in February.

Chino Hills' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Colony, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Chino Hills and Colony should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Chino Hills (ranked 43rd) will meet Sunny Hills (ranked 877th) at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Colony will face off against Los Altos at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 416 places (253 vs. 669).
