Baseball Recap: Sierra Vista Takes a Loss

Sierra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baldwin Park Braves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Braves this season, with their most recent loss being a 21-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Sierra Vista saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Donnie Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Sierra Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Baldwin Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sierra Vista is set to challenge their familiar foe Azusa at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Baldwin Park will face off against rival Garey at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
