Volleyball Recap: Allison Yu and Ava Wang Secure Win for Menlo School

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Menlo School and Gunn, and Menlo School kept the tradition alive. The Knights won by a set and slipped past the Titans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since October 24, 2024.

Menlo School had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-14, 16-14.

Menlo School was led to victory by Ava Wang and Allison Yu. Wang had 11 digs, while Yu had two aces and two assists. Wang is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Menlo School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.
