Soccer Recap: Benet Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Benet Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Lockport Porters on Friday, falling 7-2. While losing is never fun, Benet Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Lockport are ranked ninth).

Benet Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-3. As for Lockport, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2-2.

As of now, neither Benet Academy nor the Porters have any future games scheduled.
