Basketball Game Preview: Holly Pond Broncos vs. Fairview Aggies

Holly Pond hasn't had much luck against Fairview recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Holly Pond Broncos will head out to challenge the Fairview Aggies at 5:00 p.m. Fairview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Holly Pond, who comes in off a win.

Holly Pond will head into Friday's match on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hanceville on Friday. Holly Pond simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hanceville 60-19. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fairview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Scottsboro, falling 63-40. While losing is never fun, the Aggies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Wildcats are ranked sixth).

Holly Pond has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Holly Pond came up short against Fairview in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 53-47. Can Holly Pond avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
