Football Recap: Noblesville Takes a Loss

Noblesville blew Homestead out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Homestead got their revenge. The Millers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 13-10. The Millers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Even if they lost, Noblesville's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Alex Hamm, Aidan Kincaide, and Yan Tioua, who each picked up one sack apiece. Noblesville got some further help from Hamm: he picked up a sack, made 14 total tackles, and defended one pass.

A big part of Homestead's win came down to the chemistry between Logan Frieden and his top target Carter Kennedy. Frieden threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt while Kennedy picked up 162 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those two passing touchdowns gave Frieden a new career-high.

Noblesville's defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Homestead, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Noblesville will face off against Fishers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Millers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Homestead, they will square off against Fort Wayne South Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
