Baseball Recap: Westminster Comes Up Short

The Westminster Wolves lost 12-3 to the Pomona Panthers on Monday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Michael Alcantor made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Tony Sisneros, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Pomona, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-14.

Looking ahead, Westminster will square off against Boulder at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. Pomona does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
